Among the pineapple tomatoes, this is one of the most beautifully coloured; from skin to flesh, the tricolour is visible: yellow, orange and red. Although cultivation in a greenhouse compensates for a bad summer, this mid-late ripening tomato (300-500g) is the only Pineapple Tomato that can also be grown outdoors. Most summers result in a very good tasting fruit: fruity sweet. Years with little sun have a negative impact on the taste. Thin out to 2 fruits per truss.
Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same place, for example in a greenhouse? Then diseases can develop in the soil, which rootstocks are resistant to, and grafting is therefore recommended:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As a tool, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.
The largest tomatoes in our assortment are called beefsteak tomatoes. This tomato owes its name to the larger amount of flesh (instead of juice). This applies to most varieties in this group, with a few exceptions such as the so-called stuffing tomatoes.
