Breeder Tom Wagner (USA) created this beautiful and flavorful variety. The name 'Join or Die' is derived from 'Berkeley Tie Dye', from which this is the 5th generation and stable enough to receive a varietal name. Tom later renamed the tomato to Belle du College, a more boring name.... The fruit is round, flat, 150-300 g, with dark and light green veins and a deep burgundy red base. A real beauty, therefore... The tricolored flesh has a rich, spicy, amazing flavor!
The largest tomatoes in our assortment are called beefsteak tomatoes. This tomato owes its name to the larger amount of flesh (instead of juice). This applies to most varieties in this group, with a few exceptions such as the so-called stuffing tomatoes.
