The rather large fruits of this Russian variety are particularly tasty and ripen well without green shoulders. The most striking feature of this variety, however, is its very fine leaf structure, which makes the plant less susceptible to diseases and creates a particularly attractive plant! Plant height and width 40-60 cm, some stakes to support the width are recommended.
Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same place, for example in a greenhouse? Then diseases can develop in the soil, against which rootstocks are resistant and therefore grafting is recommended:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As an aid, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.
This group of tomatoes are of a size between cherry tomatoes and beefsteak tomatoes: medium-sized, in other words. Each has its own unique character. The climbing varieties ripen somewhat later than the compact varieties and are therefore more successful under rain protection: a lean-to, greenhouse or polytunnel.
