An Ukrainian gem developed in 1987 by Soviet tomato breeder Fedor Tarasenko, who celebrated his 75th birthday in 1987 and named the tomato after this celebration: "Tarasenko's Jubilee". Vigorous, large plants bear large clusters of egg-shaped fruits weighing 100-150g. The fruits have a charming pointed end, often called a nipple. As you can imagine, Tarasenko would not name a bad-tasting tomato after himself: they have a very distinct, balanced, complex, and delicious flavour.
If you often grow tomatoes in the same spot, for instance in a greenhouse (or mini-greenhouse), diseases can develop in the soil. Rootstocks are resistant to these diseases, and grafting is therefore recommended:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As an aid, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.
This group of tomatoes is a size between cherry tomatoes and beefsteak tomatoes: medium-sized, in other words. Each of them has a unique character. Climbing varieties ripen somewhat later than compact varieties and are therefore more successful under rain protection: a lean-to, greenhouse, or grow tunnel.
