An old variety from the German seed company Benary, which still excels with a large harvest, a long harvest period (ideal for hobbyists) and a nice balance between sweet, sour and aromatic. The fruits are slightly flattened round, 4-5 cm in diameter and weigh about 350 g. The plants are climbing, reaching about 150 cm outdoors or 200 cm in a greenhouse.
Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same place, for example in a small greenhouse? Then soil-borne diseases can develop, against which rootstocks are resistant, and grafting is therefore recommended:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As a tool, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.
This group of tomatoes are sized between cherry tomatoes and beefsteak tomatoes: medium-sized, in other words. Each has its own unique character. The climbing varieties ripen somewhat later than the compact varieties and are therefore more successful under rain protection: a lean-to, greenhouse or growing tunnel.
