Upon its introduction (years ago - this is a heritage variety), it was quickly awarded an 'Award of Garden Merit' due to its excellent taste: sweet yet robust! The round, rather small fruits (4cm in diameter) are bright orange in color. Expect a large harvest of firm, easy-to-store fruits.
Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same spot, for example in a greenhouse? Then diseases can develop in the soil, to which rootstocks are resistant, and grafting is therefore recommended:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As a grafting aid, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting Clip 1.5 mm.
This group of tomatoes is intermediate in size between cherry tomatoes and beefsteak tomatoes: medium-sized, in other words. Each has its own unique character. The climbing varieties ripen somewhat later than the compact varieties and are therefore more successful under rain protection: a lean-to, greenhouse or grow tunnel.
