A very early tomato, the compact plants (100 cm) yield a good harvest of small, red fruits (5-8 cm in diameter) even in very cool conditions. This variety was developed by Dr. Harris, Beaverlodge Research Station, Alberta, Canada. They ripen even in Southern Yukon and Southern Alaska! The flavor is rich in sweet and aromatic notes.
Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same place, for example in a greenhouse? Then soil-borne diseases can develop, against which rootstocks are resistant, and therefore grafting is recommended:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As an aid, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.
This group of tomatoes is intermediate in size between cherry tomatoes and beefsteak tomatoes: medium-sized, in other words. Each has its own unique character. The climbing varieties ripen later than the compact varieties and are therefore more successful under rain protection: a lean-to, greenhouse, or grow tunnel.
