The Russian breeder Saraev strived to develop cold-resistant tomatoes, both during initial growth and during the final sprint. This selection can therefore take a beating! Furthermore, this skilled breeder also paid attention to maintaining flavour... The compact plants bear their first fruits very early, these are initially somewhat smaller (50-80 g), after some time the overwhelmingly large harvest consists of somewhat larger fruits (80-150 g). You can count on a wonderfully sweet, juicy and aromatic taste. This variety is disease resistant and grows excellently in the open ground but is also particularly beautiful in pots.
Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same place, for example in a greenhouse? Then diseases can develop in the soil, which rootstocks are resistant to and for which grafting is therefore recommended:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As an aid, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.
This group of tomatoes are sized between a cherry tomato and a beefsteak tomato: medium-sized, in other words. Each has its own unique character. The climbing varieties ripen somewhat later than the compact varieties and are therefore more successful under rain protection: a lean-to, greenhouse or polytunnel.
