This beautiful, old variety earned its stripes for decades from about 1950 and was widely cultivated. The red fruits ripen mid-early, are quite small and juicy, and sweet in taste. Plants grow 150-180 cm tall. We can still enjoy this classic from bygone years...!
This group of tomatoes are sized between cherry tomatoes and beefsteak tomatoes: medium-sized, in other words. Each has its own unique character. The climbing varieties ripen somewhat later than the compact varieties and are therefore more successful under rain protection: a lean-to, greenhouse or growing tunnel.
