This variety from the US came on the market around 1940 (breeder Dr. Yeager in Michigan) and has occupied an important place among professional growers for 50 years. Fairly early harvestable means little susceptible to diseases and that applies well to this variety! The red fruits are about 5 cm in diameter and taste deliciously sweet.
Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same place, for example in a greenhouse? Then diseases can develop in the soil, against which rootstocks are resistant and therefore grafting is recommended:
for grafting tomatoes you use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As an aid we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.
This group of tomatoes are of a size between cherry tomato and beefsteak tomato: medium size. They each have a unique character. The climbing varieties ripen somewhat later than the compact varieties and are therefore more successful under rain protection: a lean-to, greenhouse or grow tunnel.
