A special cross-breed mix from our Belgian breeder Lieven David (VELT), with the following characteristics: high yield, some disease resistances, medium-sized fruits, mostly red to pinkish-red, from oval to round. If you "discover" a plant that yields extra tasty fruits (to your liking), harvest the seeds from it and grow your own favourite variety!
The name is a nod to the aphorism of Jesus Sirach: hodie mihi, cras tibi = today me, tomorrow you... we turn the latter into a challenging nudge: soon it's up to you to select the best plants from these crosses, year after year.
This group of tomatoes are of a size between cherry tomato and beefsteak tomato: medium-sized, in other words. Each has its own unique character. The climbing varieties ripen somewhat later than the compact varieties and are therefore more successful under rain protection: a lean-to, greenhouse or growing tunnel.
