Medium-sized Tomato 'Blue Streak'
- Product number: 293181
- Origin: Central and South America
- Latin: Lycopersicon lycopersicum, also known as L. esculentum
Tomatoes with the blue natural pigment anthocyanin are extra healthy, and therefore Tom Wagner develops many tasty tomatoes with blue coloring.
Blue Streak is a medium-sized tomato of 60-150g with a good flavor, dark red with good blue coloring the more the fruits are developed in the sun.
This group of tomatoes are sized between cherry tomatoes and beefsteak tomatoes: medium-sized, in other words. Each has its own unique character. The climbing varieties ripen somewhat later than the compact varieties and are therefore more successful under rain protection: a lean-to, greenhouse, or growing tunnel.
