You'll want this genuine rarity just for its ornamental value: brown-purple, 80-150 g heavy fruits with a firm texture and an unmistakable pear shape! The warmer and drier the summer, the darker the color; in fairly cloudy summers, the color is dark red. The taste is subtly sweet and very pleasant. The plants need support and can reach a length of 2 m in the greenhouse.
Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same spot, for example in a greenhouse? Then diseases can develop in the soil, which rootstocks are resistant to, making grafting recommendable:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As an aid, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.
This group of tomatoes is of a size between a cherry tomato and a beefsteak tomato: medium-sized, in other words. Each has its own unique character. The climbing varieties ripen somewhat later than the compact varieties and are therefore more successful under rain protection: a lean-to, greenhouse, or growing tunnel.
