Medium-sized Tomato 'Auriga' / 'Earl of Edgecombe'

  • Product number: 293140
  • Origin: Central and South America
  • Latin: Lycopersicon lycopersicum, or also L. esculentum

These medium-sized, orange tomatoes (the size of a golf ball) are very popular due to their healthy growth and very high carotene content. The taste is spicy aromatic and they ripen early (75 days). In the greenhouse, harvesting continues until early winter! They have a long shelf life.
Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same spot, for example in a greenhouse? Then diseases can develop in the soil, which rootstocks are resistant to, and grafting is therefore recommended:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As an aid, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.

This group of tomatoes are a size between cherry tomato and beefsteak tomato: medium-sized, in other words. Each has its own unique character. The climbing varieties ripen later than the compact varieties and are therefore more successful under rain protection: a lean-to, greenhouse, or grow tunnel.
