A successful cross by José Antoine between a pineapple tomato and OSU Blue. The result is a beautiful round tomato with a blue-coloured blush due to the healthy anthocyanin. The taste is mild, sweet, fruity with a hint of pineapple! The plant thrives best in a greenhouse and can reach considerable sizes with a good harvest.
If you often grow your tomatoes in the same place, for example in a greenhouse (or mini-greenhouse), diseases can develop in the soil. Rootstocks are resistant to these diseases, and grafting is therefore recommended:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As an aid, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.
This group of tomatoes are of a size between cherry tomato and beefsteak tomato: medium size, in other words. Each has its own unique character. The climbing varieties ripen somewhat later than the compact varieties and are therefore more successful under rain protection: a lean-to, greenhouse or polytunnel.
