Elongated, cream-colored fruits! This variety was originally named 'Banana Cream' and was bred by Tom Wagner. Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds apparently found 'Cream Sausage' (from 2004) to be a better name... This mild-tasting variety has since become a historical favorite of many chefs: you can make a beautiful light-colored tomato sauce with it! The plants grow to a medium height of 150 cm and bear fruit relatively early, which means less disease pressure and thus a high chance of success.
Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same place, for example in a greenhouse? Then diseases can develop in the soil, against which rootstocks are resistant, and grafting is therefore recommended:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As an aid, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.
Elongated, sweet tomatoes with a lot of flesh. In subtropical countries, this is the type used for processing into juices, soups, ketchup, dried tomatoes, etc. Tip: freeze Roma tomatoes whole with their skin on.
