Cherry and Grape Tomatoes 'You Jane'

  • Product number: 291905
  • Origin: Central America
  • Latin: Lycopersicon lycopersicum, or also L. esculentum

A captivating cross between cherry and grape tomatoes. Red and sometimes with a hint of orange, already carefully selected by our grower for production and taste. Grow them, enjoy the delicious flavors and if you wish: choose your favorite from these, and save its seeds. After a few years, you'll have your own variety...!

Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same spot, for example in a greenhouse? Then diseases can develop in the soil, which rootstocks are resistant to, and grafting is therefore recommended:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As an aid, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.

The smallest tomatoes in our assortment are called cherry tomatoes or ping-pong tomatoes, depending on their size. Some varieties are elongated or heart-shaped and are given a slightly different name accordingly. Some are even original, wild species. Most taste extra sweet, a few have a sweet and sour taste. Cherry tomatoes are closest to the original species, which is perhaps why they are generally more resistant to the dreaded potato blight.

Names:
Latin: Lycopersicon lycopersicum, or also L. esculentum
