We've never counted them, but one plant really produces hundreds of fruits! This true wild variety yields the smallest tomatoes we know (even smaller than the Tomberry): the size of a pea, you can fit 10 fruits on a teaspoon! Delicious for snacking or in salads: fresh, crispy, and sweet enough. Children love them! The fruits easily detach from the trusses. Give the plants some support, they grow vigorously or simply climb a bush...
Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same spot, for example in a greenhouse? Then soil-borne diseases can develop, against which rootstocks are resistant, and grafting is therefore recommended:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As an aid, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.
The smallest tomatoes in our assortment are called cherry tomatoes or ping-pong tomatoes, depending on their size. Some varieties are elongated or heart-shaped and are accordingly given a slightly different name. Some are even original, wild species. Most taste extra sweet, a few have a sweet and sour taste. Cherry tomatoes are closest to the original species, which is probably why they are generally more resistant to the dreaded potato blight.
