Its unique color makes this medium-sized tomato a true "must-have": deep red with veins that are first green, then golden, just like a red jasper! Its origin is in China, which is reflected in its taste, like most Asian varieties: rather neutral with few sweet and sour notes. Mixed in salads with the right dressing, the fruits give a beautiful color and firm mouthfeel. Stir-frying with this tomato is of course also a good option, revealing its internal, very dark red color.
Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same place, for example in a greenhouse? Then diseases can develop in the soil, which rootstocks are resistant to and where grafting is therefore recommended:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As a tool, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.
The smallest tomatoes in our assortment are called cherry tomatoes or ping-pong tomatoes, depending on their size. Some varieties are elongated or heart-shaped and are named accordingly. Some are even original, wild species. Most taste extra sweet, a few have a sweet and sour taste. Cherry tomatoes are closest to the original species, which is probably why they are generally more resistant to the dreaded potato blight.
