Cherry tomato 'Tomatito de Jalapa'

  • Product number: 291810
  • Origin: Mexico
  • Latin: Lycopersicon species

Many hobby growers can attest: this wild tomato from Mexico has not yet been affected by the dreaded potato blight! The short clusters of red cherry tomatoes have a wide range of flavors: aromatic, sweet, slightly tart... a very good taste indeed! Bushy growth.
Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same place, for example in a greenhouse (or small greenhouse)? Then diseases can develop in the soil, against which rootstocks are resistant, and grafting is therefore recommended:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As an aid, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.

The smallest tomatoes in our assortment are called cherry tomatoes or ping-pong tomatoes, depending on their size. Some varieties are elongated or heart-shaped and are given a slightly different name accordingly. Some are even original, wild species. Most taste extra sweet, a few have a sweet and sour taste. Cherry tomatoes are closest to the original species, which is perhaps why they are generally more resistant to the dreaded potato blight.
