The name already gives it away: there's something striped about these tomatoes! The compact plants (60 cm high, making them ideal for a small space) produce many small, egg-shaped fruits in an elegant red-and-yellow striped colour. The fruits weigh 20-50 g, are firm, juicy and deliciously sweet. The foliage is strikingly blonde-green in colour.
Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same spot, for example in a greenhouse? Then diseases can develop in the soil, which rootstocks are resistant to, and therefore grafting is recommended:
For grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As an aid, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.
The smallest tomatoes in our assortment are called cherry tomatoes or ping-pong tomatoes, depending on their size. Some varieties are elongated or heart-shaped and are given a slightly different name accordingly. Some are even original, wild species. Most taste extra sweet, a few have a sweet and sour taste. Cherry tomatoes are closest to the original species, perhaps that's why they are generally more resistant to the dreaded potato blight.
