Cherry Tomato 'Sun Gold' / 'Orange Quartz'

  • Product number: 291780
  • Origin: South America
  • Latin: Lycopersicon lycopersicum, or also L. esculentum

The English consumer (and they know about tomatoes) proclaimed this variety to be the tastiest and sweetest tomato! Deep orange fruits in long trusses, suitable for greenhouse or outdoor cultivation. The skin is thin and the fruits do not quickly overripen on the plant. They are large cherry tomatoes or small regular tomatoes.

Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same place, for example in a greenhouse? Then diseases can develop in the soil, against which rootstocks are resistant and therefore grafting is recommended:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As a tool, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.

The smallest tomatoes in our assortment are called cherry tomatoes or ping-pong tomatoes, depending on their size. Some varieties are elongated or heart-shaped and are given a slightly different name accordingly. Some are even original, wild species. Most taste extra sweet, a few have a sweet and sour taste. Cherry tomatoes are closest to the original species, which may be why they are generally more resistant to the dreaded potato blight.
