Red cocktail type with an abundance of red, sweet fruits. We use several improvements of the popular 'Sweet-100' variety, all yielding a large harvest of deliciously sweet, cherry-sized fruits. The plants are tall, up to 2m in the greenhouse, and can be pruned back to 1.5m outdoors. Cherry tomatoes have low susceptibility to disease, so the chances of a good harvest are high!
Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same spot, for instance in a greenhouse? Then soil-borne diseases can develop, which rootstocks are resistant to, making grafting advisable:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As a tool, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.
The smallest tomatoes in our assortment are called cherry tomatoes or ping-pong tomatoes, depending on their size. Some varieties are elongated or heart-shaped and are accordingly given a slightly different name. Some are even original, wild species. Most taste extra sweet, a few have a sweet and sour taste. Cherry tomatoes are closest to the original species, which may be why they are generally more resistant to the dreaded potato blight.
