A new generation of small tomatoes, the plant does not need to be staked. When grown in the open ground, the plant spreads widely. It is actually best suited for pots and "hanging baskets." The clusters of small, bright yellow cherry tomatoes will then hang over the edge. Truly a delightful sight!
Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same spot, for example in a greenhouse (or small greenhouse)? Then diseases can develop in the soil, against which rootstocks are resistant, and grafting is therefore recommended:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As a tool, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.
The smallest tomatoes in our assortment are called cherry tomatoes or "ping pong" tomatoes, depending on their size. Some varieties are elongated or heart-shaped and are given a slightly different name accordingly. Some are even original, wild species. Most taste extra sweet, while a few have a sweet and sour taste. Cherry tomatoes are closest to the original species, which is perhaps why they are generally more resistant to the dreaded potato blight.
