The oblong shape is unique for such a small tomato; they are deliciously sweet and firm! The plants grow narrow and tall, so they need a support stake. For years, this variety has proven to be rain-resistant and largely insensitive to the dreaded potato blight.
If you often grow your tomatoes in the same spot, for example in a greenhouse (or small greenhouse), diseases can develop in the soil. Rootstocks are resistant to these diseases, and therefore grafting is recommended:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As a grafting aid, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.
The smallest tomatoes in our assortment are called cherry tomatoes or ping-pong tomatoes, depending on their size. Some varieties are elongated or heart-shaped and are accordingly given a slightly different name. Some are even original, wild species. Most taste extra sweet, a few have a sweet-sour taste. Cherry tomatoes are closest to the original species, which is perhaps why they are generally more resistant to the dreaded potato blight.
