Cherry tomato 'Helsing Junction Blue'

  • Product number: 291280
  • Origin: Central and South America
  • Latin: Lycopersicon lycopersicum, or also L. esculentum

Beautiful blue cherry tomatoes (the more sun, the bluer) grow in large clusters. The subtle aroma has sweet and sour notes, a tasty and healthy tomato! The climbing plants yield a huge harvest. Tom Wagner specially bred this variety for Helsing Junction Farm in Rochester.
Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same place, for example in a greenhouse? Then diseases can develop in the soil, to which rootstocks are resistant and for which grafting is therefore recommended:
For grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As an aid, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.

The smallest tomatoes in our assortment are called cherry tomatoes or ping-pong tomatoes, depending on their size. Some varieties are elongated or heart-shaped and are named accordingly. Some are even original, wild species. Most taste extra sweet, a few have a sweet and sour taste. Cherry tomatoes are closest to the original species, which is probably why they are generally more resistant to the dreaded potato blight.

Names:
