This is an uncultivated, wild tomato with healthy and exuberant growth. For easier management, it is useful to support the plant up to 1 m high, after which the growth vigor will take over from your desire for control... The plants bear small, 6 g, 2 cm yellow fruits early on. The tomatoes are very tasty with an enticing sweetness!
The smallest tomatoes in our assortment are called cherry tomatoes or ping-pong tomatoes, depending on their size. Some varieties are elongated or heart-shaped and are accordingly given a slightly different name. Some are even original, wild species. Most taste extra sweet, a few have a sweet-and-sour taste. Cherry tomatoes are closest to the original species, perhaps that is why they are generally more resistant to the feared potato blight.
