A successful cross between 'Gelbene Königin' x 'Yellow Plum' results in a climbing plant of 180-250 m, with large clusters (in umbel form) of 25-30 tomatoes with a diameter of 3-5 cm. The fruits have a rounded, very sweet, penetrating taste, clearly referring to the 'Yellow Plum'. The skin is soft, making the tomato pleasant to eat straight from the hand.
Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same place, for example in a greenhouse? Then diseases can develop in the soil, which rootstocks are resistant to and where grafting is therefore recommended:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As a tool, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.
The smallest tomatoes in our assortment are called cherry tomatoes or ping-pong tomatoes, depending on their size. Some varieties are elongated or heart-shaped and are accordingly given a slightly different name. Some are even original, wild species. Most taste extra sweet; a few have a sweet and sour taste. Cherry tomatoes are closest to the original species, perhaps because of this they are generally more resistant to the dreaded potato blight.
