A beautiful historical tomato, which we already find described in a 1937 seed catalog from Mc Fayden in Toronto. The plant grows to the roof in a greenhouse, the small, yellow, slightly oval fruits have a small nipple at the end and weigh 5-15 grams. The fruits grow in large numbers per truss on broad trusses. Each fruit has sufficient firmness, is juicy and deliciously sweet.
Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same place, for example in a greenhouse? Then diseases can develop in the soil, to which rootstocks are resistant and therefore grafting is recommended:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As an aid, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.
The smallest tomatoes in our assortment are called cherry tomatoes or ping-pong tomatoes, depending on their size. Some varieties are elongated or heart-shaped and are given a slightly different name accordingly. Some are even original, wild species. Most taste extra sweet, a few have a sweet and sour taste. Cherry tomatoes are closest to the original species, perhaps that is why they are generally more resistant to the dreaded potato blight.
