A wild tomato with unique properties. The red, deliciously sweet fruits are very small, ripen early and are just like mini hazelnuts or currants in terms of shape and size! The initial growth of the plant strongly resembles a potato, until the sea of yellow flowers appears... The plant remains quite low (1m) and also grows well in a large pot. Harvesting begins in July and continues until the first frost.
Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same place, for example in a greenhouse? Then diseases can develop in the soil, to which rootstocks are resistant and therefore grafting is recommended:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As a helpful tool, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.
The smallest tomatoes in our assortment are called cherry tomatoes or ping-pong tomatoes, depending on their size. Some varieties are elongated or heart-shaped and are accordingly given a slightly different name. Some are even original, wild species. Most taste extra sweet; a few have a sweet and sour taste. Cherry tomatoes are closest to the original species, perhaps that is why they are generally more resistant to the dreaded late blight.
