One of the earliest ripening tomatoes, the fruits are as large as a ping-pong ball and weigh about 30 g. Cultivation is very successful in both warm and cool climates, making it an all-rounder! Despite the rapid growth, the taste is very good: sweet with sufficient acidic notes for the right harmony. Due to its compact growth, this is a top choice for pot cultivation.
Do you often grow your tomatoes in the same spot, for example in a greenhouse? Then soil-borne diseases can develop, against which rootstocks are resistant and therefore grafting is recommended:
for grafting tomatoes, use this variety: 291110 Tomato 'Landon'. As an aid, we recommend these grafting clips: 847520 Grafting clip 1.5 mm.
The smallest tomatoes in our assortment are called cherry tomatoes or ping-pong tomatoes, depending on their size. Some varieties are elongated or heart-shaped and are accordingly given a slightly different name. Some are even original, wild species. Most taste extra sweet, a few have a sweet and sour taste. Cherry tomatoes are closest to the original species, perhaps that is why they are generally more resistant to the feared late blight.
