Would you like to grow an old-fashioned and special tomato? Old tomato varieties can be susceptible to various fungal diseases and nematodes, which can hinder their growth. The solution is to graft them onto a rootstock with as many resistances to diseases and pests as possible. This is a very vigorous tomato rootstock with excellent disease resistances. A strong, but manageable rootstock. Suitable for indoor and outdoor cultivation. Please note: a rootstock does not provide protection against late blight (Phytophthora). For tomatoes and eggplants, use the smaller size grafting clips (see 847520). An informative video about grafting tomatoes (and eggplants) can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6FGkE9dJtI.
This variety has been produced under strict hygiene protocols (GSPP) and tested by an accredited laboratory.
BECAUSE ROOTSTOCK SEEDS HAVE A SMALL EMBRYO, IT IS EXTRA IMPORTANT TO PROVIDE THE CORRECT GERMINATION TEMPERATURE (25˚C) AND MISTING WITH SALPETER (809082) ALSO SIGNIFICANTLY HELPS WITH THE GERMINATION RESULT.
