ORGANICALLY GROWN SEEDS! A beautiful plant from North Africa, grown as an annual here. The basal leaves resemble lamb's lettuce but are thicker. Pick them young: they taste wonderfully crisp in salads. The unique flavour may take some getting used to, but a quick stir-fry with garlic is definitely delicious! Graceful clusters of lilac-pink flowers (at 20cm height) make it a lovely garden plant.
