A welcome recognition for our "tropical" compatriots! The green, tender leaves grow on fleshy, light green stems. This is the true, coarse, tropical celery! It can be grown well here in summer, especially in the greenhouse, but also outdoors. Keeps well in the refrigerator.

Sowing method: March-July for same-year harvest or August-September for harvest the following spring. Sow in pots during winter for a windowsill harvest. Celery is known as a slow and difficult germinator. However, this is not too bad if you follow the method below: 1) Celery is a light germinator, so the seeds should not be covered with soil, but simply pressed down and kept moist. Covering with a translucent fleece or cloth prevents too rapid drying. 2) Celery does not like excessively high temperatures. Germination between 15-22°C is optimal. Be careful of sun exposure behind glass. This way, germination will occur within 2 weeks. Good luck!
