In our country, arugula is indispensable! This Italian salad has a pleasant hint of heat and a touch of nut... This variety grows quickly, can be sown year-round, and has the coveted incised leaves that make the (slower-growing) perennial type so popular. The Italians call this type Rucola coltivata. If arugula grows slowly due to warmth, sun, and not too much water, the flavor becomes much stronger. This has inspired clever supermarkets to call this "Wasabi-Arugula." So this is not a special variety, but slowly grown arugula. Be careful, if you overdo the slow cultivation, the plants will bolt.
