Italian raw vegetable salad with a touch of heat and a hint of nut... This variety grows quickly and has gracefully toothed leaves. Italians call this type Rucola coltivata. If arugula grows slowly due to heat, sun, and not too much water, the flavour becomes much stronger. This has inspired clever supermarkets to call this "Wasabi-Arugula". So, this is not a special variety, but slowly grown arugula. Be careful, if you overdo the slow cultivation, the plants will bolt.
