The strikingly large, bright red tubers are suitable for spring and summer cultivation. The taste is mild and the tubers rarely become spongy. Keep the soil evenly moist. For example, alternate them with rows of lettuce or endive for shade at the base. Large radishes add body to salads and are also delicious to mix into dishes raw (or briefly stir-fried).
