You either love it or hate it! Purslane has a distinctive taste; I'm personally a huge fan. The green variety is the most commonly cultivated, but there's also a yellow-leaved type. In addition to the green, there's also a yellow-green variety. Try them raw in a salad too: delicious!

Sowing method: A real cold-sensitive plant, wait until it is nice and warm before sowing: in the greenhouse from April, outdoors from May. Covering the seedbed with moist cloths or sacks speeds up germination. Remove sacks on the third day.
