The pure grey Spanish variant of the old Italian Marina di Chioggia variety. The taste is very good and popular in Spanish cuisine: firm and slightly nutty in flavour. The firm, undulating, bumpy skin is beautiful. The fruit is often divided into 2 parts by a constriction, sometimes into equal parts, sometimes with a "butt", so you could say this is a grey Turkish Turban! Long shelf life (often 6 months).
Pumpkins can be grown outdoors without any problems. The growing tips can be pruned regularly and are edible! Harvesting during dry weather gives the best storability. All pumpkins are edible! For some varieties, we list synonyms, which are the names under which the variety is also known. For other varieties, we list very similar varieties; if you have a clear preference for one of the varieties listed together, please specify that clearly.
