The extinct ‘Essex Turban’ variety has been revived with this beautiful new variety. Its origin is a cross between a Turkish Turban and a Hubbard. The result is a very warty, deep-red fruit with the drum shape of a Turkish Turban: a market winner!
Pumpkins can be grown outdoors without any problems. The growth tips can be pruned regularly and are edible! Harvesting during dry weather gives the best shelf life. All pumpkins are edible! For some varieties, we list synonyms, which are the names under which the variety is also known. For other varieties, we list very similar varieties; if you have a clear preference for one of those listed together, please indicate it clearly.
