'Olive Verte' Pumpkins

  • Product number: 215020
  • Origin: North America
  • Latin: Cucurbita maxima

Cultivated in France since 1880. However, it is only propagated by a few growers. The vigorously growing plants bear fruits weighing 3-8 kg. The shape is that of an oversized rugby ball, the color is olive green with light green speckles, later ripening to chestnut brown. The fruit skin is thin and semi-glossy. The firm flesh is surprisingly of excellent quality.

Pumpkins can be grown outdoors without any problems. The growing tips can be pruned regularly and are edible! Harvesting during dry weather provides the best storability. All pumpkins are edible! For some varieties, we mention synonyms, which are the names under which the variety is also known.
