Naked Seeded, Hulless 'Gleisdorfer Ölkürbis' / 'Olga'

The oilseed gourd is still widely cultivated in Austria. The seeds produce a delicious oil with a nutty aroma. Incidentally, the hull-less seeds are also delicious to eat: raw, roasted, or incorporated into salads, bread, and other baked goods. This variety produces medium-sized fruits of about 20 cm: the color starts green with yellow dots and slowly ripens to orange with green spots.

Pumpkins can be grown outdoors without any problems. The growing tips can be pruned regularly and are edible! Harvesting during dry weather provides the best storability. All pumpkins are edible!
