Brodée Galeux d' Eysines Peanut Pumpkins
- Product number: 213510
- Origin: South America
- Latin: Cucurbita maxima
A remarkable appearance! With its round, flattened shape, this pink to beige-colored fruit is covered with peanut-shaped bumps. In French, this pumpkin is also called "scabby embroidery" (a less pleasant name...) The flesh has a dense texture and is deliciously sweet. Its weight ranges from 5-15 kg, and the fruit is 25-40 cm in diameter. Because the stem of this variety is difficult to dry, we advise rubbing it with lime and storing the fruit in a dry place.
Pumpkins can be grown outdoors without problems. The growing tips can be pruned regularly and are edible! Harvesting in dry weather gives the best shelf life. All pumpkins are edible! For some varieties, we list synonyms, which are the names under which the variety is also known. For other varieties, we list very similar varieties; if you have a clear preference for one of those varieties listed together, please state this clearly.
