Pumpkins 'Blue Hungarian' / 'Nagydobosi Süttök'

  • Product number: 213470
  • Origin: North America
  • Latin: Cucurbita maxima

This famous Hungarian pumpkin has a much-praised taste: fresh, nutty, slightly sweet and with a fine texture. The large blue-grey fruits are covered with a matte waxy layer. Size 30-40 cm in diameter, 20 cm high and 7-9 kg in weight (with outliers up to 11 kg). A well-storable and impressive member of the pumpkin family. The orange-yellow flesh is easy to harvest due to the not-too-hard skin and has a fresh scent and beautiful dense quality. Give this vigorous vining grower plenty of space!

Pumpkins can be grown outdoors without any problems. The growing tips can be pruned regularly and are edible! Harvesting during dry weather gives the best storability. All pumpkins are edible! For some varieties, we mention synonyms, which are the names under which the variety is also known. For other varieties, we mention very similar varieties; if you have a clear preference for one of the varieties listed together, please indicate this clearly.
