A climbing, Japanese variety of great beauty! Ripens late, a good summer (or greenhouse) is desired. The flattened round fruits have a deeply sunken stem attachment. The almost black fruits have sharp, asymmetrical ribs and are often covered with warts. Eventually, the fruits ripen indoors to a beautiful, leathery brown colour. The average size is 15x10cm. The orange-yellow flesh is firm, sweet and aromatic: highly recommended!
