Pumpkins 'Baby Orange' / 'Little October'

  • Product number: 213320
  • Origin: North America
  • Latin: Cucurbita pepo

These moderately vining plants produce many small fruits. At first glance, this beautiful, small pumpkin looks like an ornamental gourd. However, it is a fully edible pumpkin! The fruits are bright orange and round to slightly flattened, with a diameter of about 10 cm (200-300 g), so from a distance, they look just like an orange! When picked ripe, they are firm, with a dark green stem and have a long shelf life. A tip: try harvesting them very unripe for a true zucchini experience!

Pumpkins can be grown outdoors without problems. The growing tips can be pruned regularly and are edible! Harvesting during dry weather provides the best storability. All pumpkins are edible! For some varieties, we list synonyms, which are the names under which the variety is also known. For other varieties, we list very similar varieties; if you have a clear preference for one of those listed together, please indicate it clearly.
