The exterior color of a butternut squash, to which this pumpkin is also related, combines this British variety with the appearance of the Crown Prince, a well-known Australian, flat-round pumpkin with deep grooves. The result is a very attractive fruit, with orange flesh of a pleasantly fine texture. The fruits weigh 1-1.5 kg each and store very well. The vining plants bear about 5 fruits per plant, which ripen relatively late.
Pumpkins can be grown outdoors without problems. The growing tips can be pruned regularly and are edible! Harvesting during dry weather provides the best storability. All pumpkins are edible! For some varieties, we list synonyms, which are the names by which the variety is also known. For other varieties, we list very similar varieties; if you have a clear preference for one of the varieties listed together, please specify it clearly.
