This is a spectacularly long, thin pepper and can grow up to 40 cm (curled) long! The plants remain fairly compact: about 1 m high, making them suitable for growing in a pot. It is considered an improved 'Long Cayenne' and certainly inherits its mild heat and sweet flavour notes. The pepper comes from the Chinese province of Guizhou, where the fruits are usually smoked after sun-drying: a unique flavour!
