In Italy, this is an extremely popular variety, it's a shame that this pepper is not cultivated much anymore... The moderately hot, quite large fruits quickly reach optimal flavor whether they are green or have already ripened to red: a lot of taste with sweet notes (the redder, the sweeter), which really comes into its own when baking, frying, and roasting. The experienced pepper-eater will easily eat the fruits raw; in that case, a soft cheese filling is a nice addition. The medium-slender fruits are about 5 cm long and slightly ribbed, the plants grow excellently in pots and reach about 75-100 cm in height. The harvest can be quite substantial!
