  • Latin: Capsicum annuum

Small, quickly hot pepper, suitable for making tabasco. The fruits are bright red, about 2.5 to 3 cm long and up to 1.5 cm wide. A vigorous grower up to almost 2 meters high! The plant first grows, then fills with flowers and then fruits. As a result, the fruits ripen quite late, so it's a candidate for the greenhouse. Good for use in salsa sauce, for drying, preserving and fresh in hot salads.
